Practice and professional experience

Dr. Faber advises national and international clients on patent application prosecution and validity proceedings as well as on the enforcement of IP-rights in litigation proceedings. His technical focus is in the field of mechanical and process engineering. Further he supports clients developing effective IP-strategies and consults in IP-related contracts. After graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering with focus on bioprocess engineering from the Technical University of Munich he carried out a PhD-project in industrial protein crystallization at the Technical University of Denmark and the University of Delaware, US, terminated in 2006 with a PhD-degree. After that he started his legal education in a renowned patent law firm in Bremen, at the patent division of the State Court of Mannheim as well as at the German Patent and Trademark Office and at the Federal Patent Court. In 2009 he joined the patent law firm Fuchs Patentanwälte in Wiesbaden, Germany and became their partner in 2013. Additionally he received the Master’s degree (LL.M.) in European IP law at the University of Hagen, Germany.
